Who We Are

Tivra event was founded by Seema Bhardwaj, a renowned artist from Sydney and India.  She holds a Master's degree in music from Punjab University, Chandigarh, and has completed her Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra, India. Her music gurus were the esteemed Shri Prem Prakash Nihalta Ji from Shimla and the late Shri Brij Lal Bhardwaj Ji from Mandi, both distinguished vocalists of Himachal Pradesh. Seema feels immensely pleased and honored to have had the opportunity to seek guidance and training from India’s legendary vocalist, Dr. Shyamala G. Bhave, in Bangalore. Dr. Bhave has been a profound inspiration and guiding force in her singing career and personal life. Seema's main forte in singing includes folk music, ghazals, Punjabi, Sufi, and Bollywood genres.
